Hundreds of tributes paid to ‘one of a kind’

HUNDREDS of tributes have been paid to Sam on social media.

In a statement on Facebook his former school St Cuthbert’s paid tribute to a fantastic student.’

The school added: “Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Sam Clancy’s friends and family as we mourn the loss of a fantastic past student.

“Sam was a popular, well-respected young man and a pleasure to teach. “May he rest in peace.” Writing on Facebook Dan Mulhall said: “Absolutely heartbroke­n one of the best mates and best guys Iv ever met Gunna miss you pal xxxxx.”

Georgina Chapman said: “Going to miss you so much Sam Clancy.”

And Emily Daly said: “We are all truly devastated sam, there’s just no words, you truly was one of a kind . I’ll forever miss you getting your feet out on the sofa.

“Sleep tight Sam Clancy, a true legend.”

The Castleton branch of the Manchester City Supports Club also paid tribute to Blues fan Sam, writing on Facebook: “The thoughts of the branch are with the family, friends & loved ones of Littleboro­ugh Blue Sam Clancy. RIP Blue.”

Ell Keane posted: “Such awful news, an all round happy and genuine guy!

“Sam Clancy R.I.P my friend. Thoughts with the family at this sad time.”

Sean McGrogan wrote: “He was a top bloke, I was shocked to hear the news, and he will be missed by so many people, just wanted to pass on my condolence­s to his family, R.I.P.”
