Have your say on the future of pharmacies
ROCHDALE residents are being urged to help shape the future of the borough’s pharmacies and the services they provide.
Health bosses have launched the ‘Rochdale Pharmacy Services Public Survey 2017’ to gather important information about how people use their local pharmacies.
The survey launched by Rochdale Borough Council and NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG) aims to ensure that pharmacies across the borough provide the right type of services to meet residents’ needs.
The results from the survey will inform decisions about how services offered by pharmacies can be improved - which may include looking at different ways community pharmacists can help the public to access medicines, or asking pharmacists to provide different services for specific health problems.
The survey does not ask for any personal details and the results will be anonymous.
Simon Wootton, chief officer at NHS HMR CCG, said: “It’s important for our local residents to feed back to us what they think is important about their local pharmacy services.
“Pharmacies offer a vast array of specialist knowledge and advice and can offer an opinion or treatment which could avoid a possible wait to see a doctor or nurse.”
The consultation will close on Sunday, July 9. To find out more and complete the survey visitrochdale.gov.uk/ improvingpharmacies
