Is former MP on his way to BB house?

-

FORMER Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk could be about to enter the Big Brother house - where he may come face-to-face with his ex-wife Karen.

Channel 5 are in talks for him to star in this summer’s celebrity version of the longrunning reality show.

When contacted by the Observer Mr Danczuk confirmed talks had been held, but declined to comment further, but a source told The Sun: “He’s delighted by the interest but is in two minds.

“It could change people’s opinion of him for the better. But he’s also thinking about stepping away from the public eye.”

In a twist this year’s show will see housemates coming face-to-face with their ex-lovers - which has led to speculation Mr Danczuk may be reunited with ‘Selfie Queen’ Karen.

Since the couple split she has been forging her own reality TV career, with appearances on The Island with Bear Grylls and Big Brother spin-off show Bit on the Side.

Mr Danczuk, 50, was suspended from Labour in 2015 after sending explicit messages to a 17-year-old girl.

He stood as an independent in Rochdale in last month’s General Election after being banned from standing for the Labour Party but lost out to Tony Lloyd, after polling just 883 votes.

In an interview with the Observer earlier this month he said he has no plans to seek re-election and is now planning a career in policy development, business consultancy and broadcasting.

Ab Fab’s Helen Lederer and Gogglebox’s Sandi Bogle have already been confirmed for this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
