Residents to get their say on plans for flats

-

RESIDENTS can their say on the latest proposals for College Bank and Lower Falinge.

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is holding two workshops for the local community, which will be held simultaneously from 10am until 3pm today (Saturday) at the Tenants and Residents Association Base in Town Mill Brow, and the Lower Falinge Community Base, Newstead.

The meetings are the latest in a series of events being held by RBH to enable local people to discuss long term options for the future renovation of College Bank and Lower Falinge.

Clare Tostevin, director of communities at RBH said: “To date, we’ve held three community workshops in each neighbourhood, as well as informal drop-in sessions. These have been instrumental in helping us to evolve our ideas, understand concerns and find out what people would most like to see to help support thriving town centre living.

Based on this feedback, we’ve been working with our architects to further develop the proposals, and we will be sharing these plans on Saturday. Residents will also be given a time slot to ensure they can visit in smaller groups, making it easier for them to view details and discuss information with RBH or the architects.

“We hope that the local community continue to get involved to ensure we can shape proposals that makes these town centre neighbourhoods great places to live and work for both existing and future residents.”
