The Manchester Golf Course was designed by Harry Shapland Colt and is set in over 240 acres of land, in metric terms one square kilometre and is surrounded by unrivalled scenic views of the Pennines. He described the course as resembling the characteristics of a seaside course.
Praise indeed from the architect who in designing the layout of the course made full use of the land’s stunning natural features.
