Boro’s taster success

-

YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a glorious day of sunshine, fun and games as they tried out rugby for the first time at Littleborough rugby club.

In the biggest taster day in the history of the club, Littleborough Sports club was filled to the brink with hundreds of families, adults and juniors getting to experience just how great and welcoming the Littleborough rugby family is.

Some 217 children – both boys and girls – from different 12 age groups ranging from under 7s to Under 13s ladies to Under 16 boys are now signed up for the new rugby season in what will be the biggest intake of the history of the club and one that bodes well for the communities of Littleborough, Wardle, Milnrow, Smithybridge and others around Rochdale alike.

From food stalls, water balloon games, fitness coaching and walking rugby. There was something for everyone to get involved in.

Not many clubs will be able to boast of the large numbers and it’s testament to the fantastic support and coaching from our army of volunteers and members.

Do not worry if you could not make our taster day, there is plenty of time to get involved and try a new sport or hobby. We have fun preseason training sessions happening all through the end of July and throughout August for all age groups above 5.
