Royal Mail brush up on vil­lage clas­sic

A CLAS­SIC Royal Mail post­box has re­ceived a lick of paint as part of the on­go­ing spruce up of Fir­grove vil­lage.

Af­ter can­vass­ing the opin­ion of lo­cal busi­ness own­ers and res­i­dents, Coun John Blun­dell de­cided to con­tact Royal Mail as the post box needed a lit­tle TLC.

Coun Blun­dell said “I would like to thank Royal Mail for the speedy and im­pres­sive job they have car­ried out.

“It is amaz­ing what a lick of paint can do.

“There is some­thing spe­cial about clas­sic old post­boxes and now its back to its orig­i­nal colour.

“It looks bet­ter than ever.”

Jay Dar­ling­ton, a lo­cal res­i­dent, said “I have lived in Fir­grove all my life and I have never seen it look­ing so smart.
