WARM wel­come awaits, on be­half of all the staff, stu­dents, par­ents and gover­nors of Oul­der Hill Com­mu­nity School; a highly suc­cess­ful school and a cen­tre of ex­cel­lence for lan­guages in Rochdale.

The school was graded as “good” by Of­sted in 2012 and as “out­stand­ing” for how many par­ents would rec­om­mend it for the fourth con­sec­u­tive year in 2017.

Oul­der Hill is a very happy, car­ing and vi­brant place to learn and teach. Over the years it has be­come a first-choice school and now has 300 stu­dents in year 7.

Staff care pas­sion­ately about ev­ery stu­dent and have an ethos where ev­ery in­di­vid­ual can, and does, thrive no mat­ter what their start­ing point.

Oul­der Hill’s shared vi­sion is “our best, al­ways, ev­ery­where” and the school is driven to giv­ing ev­ery child the best pos­si­ble start in life.

The three main stated aims are to en­able young peo­ple to be­come:

Suc­cess­ful stu­dents who en­joy learn­ing and make out­stand­ing progress what­ever their start­ing point

Con­fi­dent in­di­vid­u­als who are able to live happy, safe, healthy and ful­fill­ing lives Re­spon­si­ble cit­i­zens who make a pos­i­tive and valu­able con­tri­bu­tion to so­ci­ety On a day-to-day ba­sis this means the school has very high stan­dards and ex­pec­ta­tions of all stu­dents.

It aims for ev­ery minute of ev­ery day to be an out­stand­ing ex­pe­ri­ence for all stu­dents through the “our best, al­ways, ev­ery­where” cul­ture.

The school’s open evening on Thurs­day Septem­ber 21 is de­signed to give you a flavour of what makes Oul­der Hill such a spe­cial place and is a great op­por­tu­nity to meet stu­dents and staff.
