Proven route to success

-

One of the ways in which the Sixth Form achieves these excellent targets is through the Aspire programme where dedicated tutors and the school’s close links with Oxbridge enable students to get the best opportunity to attend a prestigious university.

Prospective students can also take advantage of the school’s educational trips which include New York, Cern, Madrid, Stockholm, London and Snowdonia.

Although Crompton House is a Church of England school, entry to the Sixth Form, which puts care and support at its core, is open to all faiths.

The school’s Sixth Form Centre, which has its own canteen and excellent ICT resources, was also praised highly by Ofsted, when they last visited the school.

“Care, support and guidance are excellent,” the report read. “Achievement and quality of teaching are good.”

In Music, Drama and Sport participation is high with students given the chance to demonstrate their leadership qualities by running school music groups, coaching sports teams and helping to direct plays with younger pupils.

Extra curricular activities are also encouraged with many sixth formers running charity events throughout the year.

Social events are promoted through a student penned newsletter and the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award attracts over 40 students each year. If you’d like to learn more about Crompton House Sixth Form, the open evening is on Thursday October 26. For more information visit www.cromptonhouse.org.uk
