Juniors proposal on AGM agenda

ALL proposals for the Todmorden Angling Society AGM have now been received and agenda printed.

No proposals to increase subs for next year.

A proposal to allow free juniors under 12 to fish our waters accompanie­d by a non fishing adult -providing the junior has been passed out as competent at our coaching days.

Another proposal is to enforce the return of all fish at the point of capture - including Pike.

Next Match is the annual ‘pairs’ match Sunday October 15th, Town House and Croft. Both waters closed to pleasure anglers until after the match.

Work to improve access paths at both Croft & Town House continues and the areas will be a lot better when completed.

Sundaywas the Todmorden leg of the Pennine Winter League held on Sandholme, Derdale, Bakehouse, White House and Summit sections of the Rochdale Canal in Todmorden.

The weather was excellent cool/sunny with eight teams of six in attendance. Result. 1. Richard East 17lb 12oz Halifax Black (3 Carp plus bits on corn) 2. Rochdale Canal -lots of Bream and Carp feeding throughout most sections on worm, ‘bits’ on maggot or pinkie over groundbait. Day tickets in advance only from tackle shops.£5/day but also covers two stillwater­s also (Cliviger and Grove Lodge)
