FUNDRAISERS painted the town pink in aid of charity. Littleborough was transformed as part of Cancer Awareness Month.

Most shops in the town dressed their windows with pink-themed displays and flew pink flags.

The event, dubbed Little’Pink’borough was the brainchild of Littleborough-based fundraisers the Three Amigos, run by Rochdale Woman of the Year Kath O’Donnell and her husband Andy.

A best-dressed window competition was also judged by the Mayor and Mayoress Coun Ian Duckworth and his wife Christine.

The winner was Beauty Boutique Littleborough, owned by Linzi Walker.

Linzi and Lindsey Stansfield dressed the window in a pink Halloween theme and incorporated, it said ‘Frighten ●●Lindsey Stansfield (left) and Linzi Walker of Beauty Boutique which won the best dressed window display competition during Little’Pink’ Borough - a fundraiser in aid of Cancer Research UK Cancer we can nail it’, as she does nails in the beauty parlour.

“It created a great atmosphere, we had cakes, fizz and glitter faces done on the premises on Saturday that raised a good amount for Cancer Research UK.

“Thank you for everyone who supported us at Beauty Boutique Littleborough, Heidi Ozluk who works with me and a special thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress for their vote and visiting us on the day.”

Kath said: “We, The Three Amigos Fundraising Group, would like to thank everyone who supported the event, the village looked fantastic in pink and we are very grateful for those who took part.”
