Grant lift for stock of fish

-

COMMUNITY Foundation for Calderdale Fund have awarded Todmorden Angling Society a grant of £5,000 to restock with fish sections of The Rochdale Canal between locks 15 to 18. This will help restore the canal environment and fishery following the floods on Boxing Day 2015.

Fish stocks will arrive during the winter months.

Emma WoodsBolger, assistant Director of the Community Foundation, said: “This grant is a timely reminder that the Calder Valley is in many ways still recovering from the floods of 2015.
