Community cash on offer
HEALTH chiefs are to hand out £400,000 to charities, community groups and voluntary organisations in Rochdale.
The cash is available for projects which aim to help improve the health of Rochdalians.
It’s part of the NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group’s Social Investment Fund.
Bosses say the projects should aim to help or tackle innovation, aspiration, isolation and integration.
Dr Chris Duffy, Heywood GP and HMR CCG Chair, said: “As part of the Social Investment Fund, we have awarded a total of £4.9 million to local voluntary, charity and community led projects.
“We are excited to be offering the opportunity again for another year to even more groups who can have a health impact within our community.”
There are two pots of cash available. Grants of up to £25,000 are available from the £300,000 Strengthening Communities Fund. The deadline for applications is Monday, January 29, at 5pm.
Meanwhile grants of up to £10,000 are available from the £100,000 Supporting Communities Fund. The deadline is Friday, January 12, at 5pm.
Application forms are available from hmr.nhs.uk/ index.php/services/ local-health-grants. For more details contact hmrccg.sif@nhs.net or call 652853.
