Dalians cut down Coppice
IN the Newbold Tyres Premier Division Coppice United slumped to their sixth league defeat this season at the hands of Rochdalians who ran out 3-1 winners.
Rochdalians, currently sitting in third, are now eight points behind league leaders Wardle, who did not play.
Chadderton maintained their top spot in the Sun Chemical Division One with a 4-1 win over AFC Kearsley.
Chadderton’s next fixture will be the return match at AFC Kearsley.
Elsewhere, in Division One Cartshaft clinched a 1-0 win against Free Trade Tavern to cement second place, while third placed Wardleworth were defeated 3-2 by a defiant Broadway Celtic.
In the Sun Chemical Second Division Sportsman won 4-0 against Chaddy End OB to go one point clear at the top of the table.
The result sees them climb above Walmersley Conservative Club, but have played a game more than them.
In Division Three Jockey were held to a 2-2 draw against Rochdale Dynamos whilst FC Lowerhouse made ground on the top three with a 3-1 win over High Crompton Victoria. Newbold Tyres Premier Division
