YOU’D think that a street where the average house price is £374,000 might be one of Greater Manchester’s most exclusive places to live.

But research by the our sister paper the M.E.N. shows Delph Lane in Delph – the most expensive address in the borough of Oldham – is put in the shade by the eye-watering cost of homes in other parts of the region.

We’ve crunched the numbers to work out where the most expensive street is in each of Greater Manchester’s 10 districts.

Top of the list is Hill Top in Hale, Trafford, where three homes were sold last year for an average of £2m.

Shackleton Road in Woodford is Stockport’s most expensive street. Four properties there sold for an average of £942,995.

In Hayescroft Gardens, Didsbury, Manchester, 10 properties went for an average of £903,500.

Figures are based on Land Registry data which includes buy-to-let sales, repossessions, and property bought through companies, but streets with fewer than three sales have been excluded.

Here’s the borough-byborough breakdown of the most expensive streets in Greater Manchester. ●»ROCHDALE: Norford Way, Bamford. Six properties sold for an average of £522,000. ●»OLDHAM: Delph Lane, Delph.
