Angling Show is a big hit

-

THIS year’s Northern Angling Show was bigger and better than last year and proved more popular than the event in the South at Farnborough. There were plenty of ‘celebrity’ anglers present giving talks, film shows and just mingling with the crowds.

The Todmorden Angling Society stand was busy with members coming to chat and look at the photos on display.

Des Taylor visited the stand and revealed he used to fish our canal years ago! Jeremy Wade (River Monsters) was very popular, especially for autographs!

New members were also recruited during the weekend.

Coaching sessions this Year are on April 22nd, May 27th, July 8th, August 26th and September 9th all on Ramsden Wood Fishery.10a.m. until 3p.m.

There is a special ‘Family day/Coaching session’ on Town House Fishery on May 6th (10am until 3pm).

This session is to celebrate and publicise the much improved angling facilities at Croft & Townhouse. (New recycled plastic pegs, special Parent & Child pegs and Disabled pegs-as well as much improved access paths)

The improvements were partly funded by a grant from Rochdale M.B.C. Pennine Township Fund.

All are welcome to attend these eventsNo Charge-everything supplied.

Watch this space for details of the fish survey which took place on Croft on Thursday March 1st.
