Immediate opportunity for revenge

-

LITTLEBOROUGH RUFC have the opportunity to earn immediate revenge when they take on Hawcoat Park RUFC this weekend.

Having only just played Hawcoat Park away last week, Boro now entertain them at home this weekend due to the re-arrangement of a postponed match that was set to take place last month.

Last weekend’s game ended up a 31-19 defeat for Littleborough, with Hawcoat Park condemning their opponents to defeat.

The roles are now reversed, with Hawcoat Park having to head down from Cumbria for the game at Rakewood Road.

This game will be an opportunity for Boro to look at their team selection of last weekend and discuss the possibility of player or positional changes that might be made to bring about a more positive result for them. For the remaining games this season Littleborough are at home and the aim is to use this period to climb up the league as much as possible by achieving winning results, starting with this weekend.

Littleborough head into the game sitting in 12th place in the North Lancs/ Cumbria league, but a win over Hawcoat Park this weekend would see Boro leapfrog them in the table, as they are just one place above them.

Unusually Boro’s second team are also at home along with the first 15 which could prove to be important during team selection meeting. The second team take on De La Salle seconds, with both games set to kick off at 3pm at Rakewood Road.
