Rochdale set for familiar trip to Hare Hill

-

THE Lancashire League sides will be looking to put the disappointment of last week’s rained off fixtures behind them when they’re set to return to action on Sunday.

An unprecedented move was made last week, as all of the fixtures were called off around 48 hours before they were set to take place, due to the scheduled weather that was approaching.

There is a local derby at Hare Hill, with league newcomers Littleborough welcoming neighbours Rochdale.

Two of the new sides in the division face off as Norden play Middleton at Woodhouse Lane, while Lowerhouse have an away game against Milnrow at Ladyhouse.

Great Harwood are also in action as they take on Todmorden at Cliffe Park.

Elsewhere, arguably the pick of the fixtures tomorrow sees Ramsbottom welcome Darwen to Acre Bottom, with both sides eager to get off to a good start this season.

Last year’s Phase Two A Division champions Clitheroe have a home game, as they welcome Rawtenstall to Whalley Road.

There’s a game between Bacup and Church and Lanehead, while Crompton make the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Accrington also have an away game to contend with, as they look to pick up a victory when they head to the Horsfield to take on Colne.

Haslingden make the trip to Alexandra Meadows, going up against East Lancashire, while there is also a game between Enfield and Nelson at Dill Hall Lane.

Rounding up the fixtures is a game at Scott Street, as Walsden are in action against Rishton.
