We must all pull together in this fight: Done

- JOEL SANDERSON-MURRAY

MATTY Done insists Rochdale must take the positives from the team’s performance in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bradford City into the final three games of the season.

Dale produced a strong performance in the Sky Bet League One fixture at the Crown Oil Arena with Done opening the scoring after 41 minutes. However Done and his teammates were denied a chance to get out of the relegation zone by Charlie Wyke’s 89th minute leveller.

While that goal left the Dale players and fans disappointed, Done has highlighted the positives to take out of the performance as well as the team’s recent form, Rochdale were unbeaten in their last two games going into the weekend, Done said: “We’re disappointed that it was a draw in the manner that it was. We’ve got to take the positives out of that, we’re three games unbeaten, the momentum is with us.

“Bradford didn’t have a shot on target, same as Oldham, so we must be doing something right. We’ve just got to turn this disappointment into a positive into the last three games.

“Momentum and form is with us so we’ve got to be positive. The lads are all disappointed in there today but we’ll turn that around.

“We’ve got to go again and do what we’ve done the last few Saturdays and Tuesdays.”

Speaking ahead of Tuesday night’s match with Plymouth Argyle Done has defiantly stated that it is vital the club all pull together to get the club out of the current situation.

“We’re disappointed not to get the three points. If you’re on the bench, if you’re a young lad we’ve got to all come together as a squad until the last day.

“Everyones got to do a job as a starter or coming on as a sub.”

Captain Ian Henderson has missed the last couple of games due to suspension from his red card picked up at Peterborough United but Done has hailed the impact Henderson has made off the field.

“Ian does great around the building, without him this season we’d be in a worse position and the lads know that.

“He might have a massive say in the season yet, he’ll be back for the last day and it looks like it will go down to the last day and if that means getting 90 minutes to turn all the pain into glory on the last day then we welcome it.”
