Come along and have a go on our bottle stall, only £1 and everyone’s a winner.

This Sunday our THE major project to replace the floor in the parish room at the back of church is now well under way, so access to church tomorrow will be via the South door. That’s to the right of the building at the top of the pathway leading to the main door.

For the next few weeks the parish room will be closed off, but the groups who use it regularly will meet in church instead, access via the South door.

We will still have refreshmen­ts after the 9.30am Sung Eucharist on Sundays but, starting tomorrow, we will gather in the area of the south aisle and make the best we can of a less-thanideal yet unavoidabl­e situation.

Following an excellent, enjoyable and at times revealing last Monday by Peter Shrigley, about his working lifetime in the NHS, our branch of the Mothers’ Union will stage another function of note next Saturday, September 15. The MU will host a

between 10am and noon with all proceeds going to families and children who are in need of a break away, but who are unable to have one without assistance.

The MU is keen for as much support as they can muster for this very worthwhile cause. Our annual

is on Sunday, September 30, at 9.30am when we are asking parishione­rs to bring in donations of food and money for the underprivi­leged. Before that, there is a Harvest Service, organised by Littleboro­ugh Churches Together, at Holy Trinity, Littleboro­ugh, Sunday, September 16, at 5pm.
