Plate final day for fourths

TODAY Rochdale 4th XV will play in the Lighting & Building Services Plate final at Burnley Rugby Club. Kick off 12.00 noon.

Rochdale have come through three rounds and then played league leaders Ashton under Lyne in the semi final, running out winners at 19-29.

Newcastle under Lyme provide the opposition and are an unknown quantity to the Rochdale team.

John Gillighan has stuck with the players who have got them to the Final, and a large contingent of supporters are expected at Burnley.

The early kick off is followed by the presentation ceremony and then everyone back to Rochdale for the over 35s game versus Bury (Black Puddings) RFC game.

Food and entertainment is laid on for what is hopefully a celebration evening.

The coach for Burnley leaves at 10.00am prompt.
