Copying Conor’s the way for Brad

- RICHARD PARTINGTON

BRAD Inman should take a leaf out of Conor McGregor’s book and combine skill and swagger with a hunger for victory.

That’s according to Keith Hill, who feels Inman is real a thoroughbred not far short of being a great player.

“Brad Inman is a bit of a tease,” said Hill.

“He’s a super model, but I want him to mix the catwalk model up with Conor McGregor in the octagon mentality – and then we’ve got a real player.

“He should be doing more with respect to the opportunities he gets but he worked really hard against Charlton and if he works hard and he’s in a winning side then I will persevere.

“But I do need that little bit of icing on the cake that Brad should be providing for the ability that he’s got.”

Inman’s willingness to run the hard yards was typical of Dale’s hard-working display in the 1-0 win against Charlton last weekend and Hill insisted it summed up everything Dale should be about.

“Commitment and endeavour, with the quality that we have, will get us through against a lot of opponents if we work harder than the opponent – and no disrespect, but it looked that way against Charlton,” said Hill.

“It has always been my mantra that you can have bad talent days at work but you should never have a bad hard work day, so I was pleased for the players and pleased that we secured the victory that puts us on 19 points from 16 games.

“It takes us away from the pressure of falling into the bottom four – though last season the bottom four was a comfortable bed at times!”
