A FIFA Tournament, golf day and superhero challenge obstacle course are some of the exciting fundraising events taking place in aid of Springhill Hospice.

Rochdale AFC will host the FIFA19 Football Tournament at the Crown Oil Arena on Sunday, August 18.

The event, for people aged 11 and over, is taking place in the Carlsberg Lounge and registration opens at 1pm.

The competition, played on a PS4, will begin at 2pm and entry costs £10 per player.

The maximum number of players is 20 and will be decided on a first come, first served basis. The first prize is a signed copy of FIFA20 Ultimate Edition and the runner up will receive a signed Rochdale AFC shirt.

A club spokesperson said: “The players will thrash it out and compete for glory and the title.

“Players will also be tasked with raising money through family and friends towards the wonderful services that Springhill Hospice provide to the community.”
