Dairy is in the mix for business of year award

A DAIRY has been named as a finalist for a prestigiou­s business of the year award.

Kingsway-based Lancashire Farm Dairies have been producing a range of award-winning natural yoghurts since they were formed in 1984.

The company have been revealed as finalists for the M.E.N. Business of the Year Awards 2019 later this year.

Managing Director Azhar Zouq said: “We’re thrilled that we’ve been shortliste­d as a finalist for the M.E.N. business awards. It’s great to see our growth and strategy has been recognised by the judges.”

Nominated in a category for businesses with a turnover of between £25-50m, they will be competing against a loan agency, an innovative packaging company and a manufactur­ing specialist.

The firm will be one of a number of top performing companies from a range of sectors including tech, constructi­on manufactur­ing and fashion to feature in the awards 27th year.

An overwhelmi­ng amount of companies entered this year and judges spent months visiting each entrant before gathering to agree shortlists for each category.

Shelina Begum, M.E.N. business editor, said: “This year’s competitio­n has seen an immensely high standard of entries and all 27 companies can be proud of being shortliste­d.

“We look forward to another fantastic celebratio­n of the companies that are excelling across Greater Manchester and are grateful for all entries.”

The event will take place at The Principal, Manchester, on Thursday, November 14.
