LINK4LIFE have closed both theatres at Heywood Civic Centre and Middleton Arena.

A planned show at Heywood Civic will not be taking place.

Posting online, Link4Life, which manages the centres, said: “In line with Government advice in relation to theatres and Venues, Link4Life has closed the theatre at Middleton Arena

“At the moment all other facilities at the Arena remain open.

“Link4Life’s management team continue to take advice and is liaising with partners and authorities to ensure that we follow best guidance to mitigate any risk to the public.”

Middleton Arena posted: “We shall be in contact with ticket purchasers for shows and events as soon as possible and will provide you with an update within the next 48 hours regarding the exchange of tickets.

“We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience, and would also like to recognise the support of producers, promoters, artists and partners over this difficult period.”

Heywood Civic Centre posted: “In line with Government advice in relation to theatres and Venues, Link4Life has closed Heywood Civic Centre.

“Unfortunately this means that the Heywood Operatics Amateur Dramatics Society’s production of 9 to 5 is now cancelled.

“Ticketing for 9-5 was arranged directly by HAODS and the Society will be making contact with all ticket purchasers and arranging refunds. Heywood Civic Centre is not able to process refunds for this event.

“We shall be in contact with ticket purchasers for all other shows and events as soon as possible and will provide you with an update within the next 48 hours regarding the exchange of tickets”
