Using the library in lockdown

-

ALTHOUGH our library buildings are currently closed to us our library service is very much open online with a catalogue of hundreds of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines.

Audiobooks have very much come into their own during lockdown.

Libraries Connected has said its figures show more than three times as many e-books were being borrowed across libraries in England in the first three weeks of lockdown than before they shut their doors, with a 358% increase in the number of people borrowing e-books over the same period.

To borrow or reserve from the hundreds of

Rochdale Library Service’s eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines download the BorrowBox app on a mobile device.

Once you have installed the app, search for Rochdale Libraries in the ‘Library’ field and log in using your library membership card number and 4-digit PIN.

If you have just joined, you can use your temporary membership number in place of a library membership number.

You can borrow or reserve up to six eBooks and six eAudiobooks at a time, each for up to 21 days.

Use your account to renew your loans, return items early and reserve items if they are currently on loan.

If you’ve any questions about using BorrowBox, email their support team at support@bolindadigital.com.

If you are using the BorrowBox app, you can go to settings and select ‘send feedback’ to ask them a question.
