Gymnasts are getting
keeping contact with their members.
The gymnasts have been given weekly tasks and challenges to do, alongside all their own conditioning and stretching work to be carried out whilst they are at home.
This is a massive challenge for the gymnasts themselves, whilst not in their usual environment in the gym, to keep motivated to continue their work in readiness for returning to training.
However, they seem to be doing an amazing amount of work and keeping up their fitness and we are proud of them all. The weekly tasks and challenges set by the club have also created much fun too.
The girls have participated in such things as: replicating their idols, face painting, baking cakes, stretching and shape tests, headstand test, lots of drawings for the NHS and Olympic themed drawings, showing off all their silverware, crazy hair days, a leotard fashion show, jumps, leaps and balance challenges.
With lots more to follow in the coming weeks, the whole family have been joining in on some of the events and thoroughly enjoying themselves whilst doing so.
The gymnasts have also helped put together many video challenges, all of which can be seen on the club’s Facebook page.
We have always tried to create a big family within the gym, and we have continued to do that during lockdown.
The club is a huge part of our gymnasts lives, and our gym families lives too.
It has been a difficult time for the coaches too, who have had to take a huge step back for the time being. Without them, we would not be here.
The club’s members and parents have hugely supported us throughout this continued lockdown and we fully appreciate their efforts. As soon as we are able to open up the doors again we will be back as one big family.
All be it under many restrictions to begin with to keep our gym family safe, we envisage a fantastic atmosphere seeing the children back in the gym training.
In the meantime any updates will be announced on the club’s Facebook page, Instagram page and on the club’s website.
