Shop local this Christmas
THE Covid-19 Pandemic continues to have a devastating effect on the creative community.
Events and activities through which creatives would normally make their living have been severely curtailed.
This has also drastically limited access of the wider community to their work, with the well published negative impacts this is having on wellbeing and mental health.
Many local creatives are continuing to have their work for sale on their own websites, across social media and on platforms such as Etsy.
If you are looking for an original piece of local creativity, say as a Christmas present, it can be difficult to know where to start, especially with no access to the usual markets and fairs.
AATA with landscape artist Elizabeth White are inviting local creatives such as makers, designers and artists who sell their work online to provide details so we can compile a digital leaflet that will be published on allacrossthearts.com and social media with updates in local print media through this column.
Creatives who wish to participate are invited to submit: Name, name of business, details of their work with an image of themselves and or their products plus details of where people can purchase them.
There is no charge and information should be sent to me at stevecswct@gmail.com
