Santa’s star of show in Christmas video!

-

DESPITE the pandemic, Norden have ensured the village is still full of Christmas spirit.

Usually, Norden is packed out for the annual Christmas light switch-on, which has to be cancelled this year.

However, Norden Environmental and Economic Village Association (NEEVA) gave a Christmas gift to the community in the form of a 10 minute film.

The film follows Santa around the village of Norden as he lends his support to local businesses including Specsavers and the Co-Op.

The Grinch is also seen creeping around, and it is eventually revealed to Santa that the Grinch is the one who stopped the light switch on, and cancelled Christmas.

The video concludes with an epic tinsel lightsaber battle between Santa and the Grinch, which Santa obviously wins, then the PCSOs come to arrest the Grinch.

Santa then pulls the lever, and all the lights come on, along with a fantastic firework display.

Interspersed with the clips is Dave Sweetmore, announcing Christmas events still taking place in Norden.

These include the elf hunt, until December 31, and NEEVA’s biggest ever giveaway.

NEEVA said: “It was decided that the annual Norden light switch-on would unfortunately no longer go ahead.

“However, in keeping with the festive spirit, NEEVA teamed up with MotoFotoUK to bring the Christmas light switch-on to you virtually.

“So please sit back, enjoy the show and have a Merry Christmas from everyone at Norden and MotoFotoUK.”
