Young gymnast stars awarded top honours at annual prize night
DUE to current and on-going Covid-19 restrictions, Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club couldn’t celebrate their Annual Awards Ceremony in the usual party style experienced every year.
Unfortunately, gathering over 350 club members together was out of the question this year.
A decision was made that the gymnasts should not suffer any further throughout this unprecedented year, and they should be presented with the usual array of the club’s Annual Honours, for all the hard work they have put in throughout the year, both in the gym itself, and at home during the five months of the year that the club was forced to shut down completely during two lockdown periods.
All awards were presented to the gymnasts at the club with just the coaches and gymnasts present.
All squad members from Level 1 through to Level 5, along with every gymnast attending ROGC’s Saturday Recreational Beginners Classes, were presented with 2020 Membership Awards, followed by some thoroughly deserved award winners to be added to the cub’s hall of fame.
