Gun fired outside shop after ‘row’
APOLICE investigation has now been launched after a firearm was discharged outside a store in Rochdale.
Officers were called to reports of a man with a firearm just after 8.30pm on Saturday on Albert Royds Street.
Detectives and forensics conducted enquiries and it is believed that a dispute took place between two groups before a man from a group entered the shop.
A firearm was then discharged, police believe. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

GMP said: “Officers were called just after 8.30pm last night to a report of a man with a firearm on Albert Royds Street in Rochdale.
“Detectives launched an investigation and following enquiries, it is believed a dispute took place between two groups outside a business on the street before a man from a group entered the store.
“Enquiries have led detectives to believe a firearms discharge has taken place.
“No one has been reported injured.
