that the Rochdale Borough Council (hereinafter called "the acquiring authority") has made the Borough of Rochdale (Former Castle Inn, Manchester Road, Rochdale, OL11 4HY) Compulsory Purchase Order 2021 under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. It is about to submit this Order to the Secretary of State for confirmation and, if confirmed, the Order will authorise the acquiring authority to purchase compulsorily, the land described below for the purpose of development, re-development and improvement of the former Castle Inn, Manchester Road, Rochdale, OL11 4HY, which is likely to contribute to the achievement of the promotion or improvement of the economic, social or environmental well-being of the acquiring authority's area. A copy of the Order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the acquiring authority's Offices at Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale OL16 1XU.
