POSTERS designed by schoolchildren to promote water safety have been displayed across Rochdale throughout the summer, and now, GMP’S local team have selected the winning entry.
The Pennine Neighborhood team ran a water safety competition for schools in Littleborough and Wardle. Students each designed a poster raising awareness of the danger open water provides and promoting key water safety principles. These posters have been displayed around Hollingworth Lake and the locality throughout the summer.
Officers attended St Andrew’s CE Primary to present the school’s winning entry with a prize, and treats were brought for all the other students who took part.
A social media from the Pennine team said: “Fantastic work from all the students who designed a poster and assisted to raise awareness of an extremely important topic.”
