A huge event with almost 1000 competitors from around the Country, Rochdale OGC’S 76 gymnasts returned home with an immense amount of rewards for their efforts.
A Mermaid and Pirate themed event aimed at all levels of gymnasts, the girls from Rochdale OGC thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend and we as a Club could not have asked any more of them.
Isabella Finn, Eleanor Hibbert, Scarlette Sloan, Serennah Schofield, Lola Whittaker, Edie Ogden, Olivia-may Hibbert, Ruby Chant and Scarlett Hanley were all rewarded with rosettes for their competition number creations.
As a team, Rochdale OGC amalgamated a very impressive 85 medal positions on the podium across varying levels and age groups.
Special mention to our 12 Overall Individual Champions where the Club’s youngest ever competitor, Isla-rae Whitehead, kick started the weekend taking top spot on the podium, followed with Delilah Thom, Jessica Gledhill, Klara Nicklin, Elektra Roach, Oliwia Szawula, Martha Hartley, Charlotte Barrett, Edie Ogden, Olivia-may Hibbert, Alexis Kernaghan, and Scarlett Hanley all winning their respective categories.
Almost 40 of Rochdale OGC’S youngsters competed for the very first time and they were all amazing and a credit to the Club.
All 76 gymnasts pulled together as a Team and competed with pride.
An incredible event run by Bolton Gymnastics Club and a fantastic experience to build on for all involved.
