This award goes to the educational establishment that can demonstrate innovation in its approach to teaching and deploying Information and Communication technologies that further the learning experience of students.

ICT lead, Jessica Baxter, said: “At Kentmere, we pride ourselves on inclusion to ensure every child has equal opportunities in developing their ICT skills to better prepare them for the future.

“Receiving this award is a testament to the great work that all staff carry out on a daily basis at Kentmere Academy.”

ICT is given a high priority at the academy reflecting a recognition that the world is driven by technology.

Technology is integrated into many aspects of school life with it being used to promote and enhance the learning of the children.

Each child has a class chrome book and every classroom has an IWB and utilises a variety of software and hardware.

The 2022 Awards were presented by celebrity host Jeff Brazier.

Headteacher, Nicola Howard, said: “We are incredibly proud to have our work recognised with this award. The last two years have really highlighted the important role that IT can play in the education of our children.

“Our computing lead and digital leaders along with the whole school team do an amazing job at really putting IT at the heart of our curriculum.

“We would like to extend our thanks to the Education Business Awards for this accolade and for the impressive ceremony in London.”
