Housebuilder has £5,000 to share

-

GOOD causes in Heywood have the chance to share £5,000 or receive practical help ‘Love From Anwyl’.

The homebuilder is offering the voluntary funding pot linked to its Whittle Brook Park development.

Anwyl area sales manager Amy Houlihan explained: “This part of Heywood is growing rapidly with hundreds of new homes, employment space and community facilities being created. We’re giving back to the community with the Love from Anwyl initiative with a total of £5,000 available.”

Anwyl wants to support as many projects as possible and so there’s a cap on the grants being offered of £1,500 per applicant.

The homebuilder is also offering practical support, in the shape of volunteer time.

“We want to know all about the great community projects in Heywood and to support as many of them as we can, either with a financial donation or by gifting our time to help,” Amy added.

“We’re open to suggestions of how we could volunteer our time.

“We have a range of different professional skills and some hidden talents that could be put to good use to help locally. We’re not afraid of getting our hands dirty, so may

be able to help with gardening, painting or minor remedial works or we can offer talks to schools and youth groups about the varied careers in housebuilding.”

Love From Anwyl is a voluntary scheme attached to the 120 new homes being built by Anwyl across almost 15 acres of land on Manchester Road East in Heywood.

It’s in addition to almost £5.5 million worth of community contributions Anwyl has already agreed to. This includes over £2.7 million towards the cost of the new link road connecting the new community directly with junction 19 of the M62. Funding has also been allocated to education, transport, highways, green spaces and sports pitches.
