ST MARY’S, BALDERSTONE

-

THIS morning, starting at 9am, is our Women’s breakfast, an opportunity for us busy ladies to sit down, catch up with each other and... just breathe.

There will be a short Bible talk looking at God’s promise that he is ‘the light’. All ladies welcome.

We believe church is for every nation and generation, so we’d love to invite you to come along.

If you’d like to give church a go, then we’d love to meet you. If it’s been a while since you last visited a church, then we’d love to invite you back.

Tomorrow our morning Service starts at 10.30am. We’ll be continuing our sermon series ‘Messy People, Faithful God’ in Genesis chapter twenty - Abraham and Abimelek. Children’s groups will be available.

There are groups for children aged four-11. Light refreshments are served after the service.

Our Sunday evening Prayer gathering meets in the parish room at

6.30pm. An extended time to pray for ourselves, our church, our community, and the world.

You can expect more space and less structure than our Sunday morning services. It’s a great atmosphere to meet with God. All welcome.

On Monday at 7.30pm, we have our annual Parochial Church meeting (APCM). This is an opportunity to review the last year and rejoice in the faithfulness, love and provision of God.

We’ll be thinking about what lies ahead in the church future. There will also be a chance to ask questions about the church and our plans.

Smurf’s (St Mary’s Under Fives) meets on Tuesday afternoon

1.30pm - 3pm in the parish room. There is a small charge of £1 for one adult with one child and an extra 30p each for extra children.

We want to create a space and community for parents, carers, babies, and toddlers to enjoy each other’s company and share in the highs and lows of having little ones running around! Everyone is welcome to come along whether you’re associated with a church or not - just turn up. New members are always welcome.

Midweek small groups- we take time to explore the bible and pray for each other and our communities as well as enjoying some social time.

There are a range of groups - Wednesday daytime meets at 10:00am in the church lounge. In the evenings, we have Wednesday 7.30pm at the home of a group member and Thursday evening,

7.20pm - 9pm, Zoom only. Advance notice Discipleship explored course - starting on May 1 via Zoom. A small group will be following this weekly introductory course which looks at the book of Philippians from the bible.
