Stylist Connor is one to watch

A TALENTED junior hair stylist working at an Edenfield salon has been tipped as ‘one to watch’ with a special award.

Connor Stansfield, based at Celeste Arnold salon in Edenfield, has been identified as a ‘talent to watch’ by professional hair product brand Neal and Wolf, as part of its campaign to discover and nurture emerging talent across the UK.

The ‘Shining Star’ campaign allows salon owners to nominate the members of their staff who they believe are set for big things.

The stylist is then invited to submit images of their work into the initiative and the brand then picks a monthly ●● Connor Stansfield winner from hundreds of entries as one-to-watch in the future.

Connor has worked and trained at award-winning Celeste Arnold’s salon on Market Street for five years, and he said he is delighted and proud to be recognised.

Connor said: “It is awards like this that give junior stylists the motivation to work hard and succeed.

“Hairdressing is such a competitive industry. As well as technical ability, creativity is also important.

“Celeste and the team have allowed me to grow my ability and confidence in both these areas; I absolutely love my job and I excited about my future career – especially now!”

Connor will now be placed on the shortlist to win the overall Shining Star for 2016, which will be announced in August later this year.
