LONGHOLME Methodist Church on Bacup Road in Rawtenstall will be holding a table top sale, in the church on Saturday, July 16, from 9am to 3pm. If anyone would like to book a table contact Sheila Emsley on 01706 220480. Tables cost £10. Admittance to the sale is free.

Refreshments will be available, including bacon butties and cream teas. Everyone welcome.

TESCO on Bocholt Way will be hosting a car boot sale on Sunday, August 28. Admission is £5 for a car or £7 for a van.

All proceeds collected will be donated to the store’s national charities Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation. There will also be representatives from Rossendale First Responders, British Heart Foundation, Burger and Baps van henna tattoos and glitter tattoos. A PLANNING application has been submitted to Rossendale Borough Council by Mark Fletcher for the siting of a single storey portable building for a period of three years, to be used as a temporary classroom at Belmont Primary School on Peel Street in Cloughfold.

FUNCTION in Fitness will be holding a bootcamp session at Whitaker Park in aid of Cancer Research.

It will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 10am. A spokesman for the charity said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to help raise money for a great cause and bring the local community together.”
