WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

‘WORKERS’ roundabout sculptures back in their rightful place (‘Roundabout statues are back ‘at work’, July 29) Selina Hope: Thank you so much to all the students and volunteers who helped get these statues back into their rightful position. As a Haslingden resident I am grateful to see them there once more. I love the way you can see our heritage through the sculptures and how we are using local people to make this roundabout beautiful. Philip Tiplady: A flower bed would’ve been so beautiful. Sarah Barton: They look fantastic, well done Tor View! Can still have a flower bed, plenty of space. Irene Brown: Just hope no hooligans wreck it again. Finley Creasy: The sculptures also represent Rossendale’s heritage, the mills.

BRITAIN in Bloom judges visit Rawtenstall (‘Pride of town blooms to impress RHS visitors’, July 29)

Geoff Pickup: Really well done to all involved. Many people have commented on your good work. Hazel Harding: Rawtenstall is looking good, especially the banking opposite Asda. Lovely planting. Well done Civic Pride. Deborah Whittle: Wouldn’t be impressed if they came up near where I live. Not cut the field in front of my house for months. It’s a real mess. It’s that bad the path is beginning to disappear. Steven Pilling: About time Civic Pride getting the recognition they deserve. Keep up the great work!! Andy Clegg: Gotta commend Civic Pride on spending their free time to make areas of the Valley look beautiful...... Great job guys. Wendy Ennis: Lovely display in the town and all done by volunteers, a credit. George Chapman: Large town category? Would hardly call Rawtenstall a LARGE town!!! Elspeth Dennett: Thank you all so much for all your hard work, it’s much appreciated. Margaret White: Civic Pride doing a good job in the Valley, well done.
