Trade debates business choices after our EU exit
A HASLINGDEN business joined with the East Lancashire Chamber of Trade to discuss the business landscape after the outcome of the EU referendum.
Helen Cowley, director of tax for Haslingden accountancy firm Cassons, based on St Crispin Way, led a debate with Mandy Lockett, international business director of the Chamber of Commerce, on the potential consequences and opportunities post EU referendum.
They were speaking at the International Trade Club’s breakfast meeting which was attended by business leaders from across the region.
Helen summarised the possible tax implications of the UK’s departure and discussed some of the existing trade models used by other European countries.

The next International Trade Club breakfast meeting will take place at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors on Thursday, October 6. The event starts at 8am and includes breakfast.
One of the guest speakers will be from the International Chambers of Commerce, which represents business at all major international summits.
