Nominations for business awards

-

THE first nominations for the 2016 Rossendale Business Awards have already been received.

The seventh annual awards will see 17 different categories contested – a far cry from the six that were presented at the inaugural event.

Nominations opened on August 17 and can be made, either by customers or businesses, until September 23.

The business awards are organised by Valley at Work, which connects local businesses through regular monthly meetings.

Chairman Rob Carder said: “We will be back at The Riverside in Whitworth on November 9 and we will have a packed room. Rossendale Business Awards really has gone from strength to strength and we already have every award category sponsored. We are welcoming new sponsors on board, Grow Traffic, SmartyPants, Business over Breakfast and Soroptimist International of Rossendale.

“Two winning businesses from last year are also first time sponsors this year – Hazelwood Homecare and Rossendale Bespoke Timber.

“Once a business has been nominated for an award, the company decides what categories it would like to be considered for. Customer Friendly Business nominations must be made by customers.”

This year Veterans In Communities will be organising a raffle at the presentation on November 9. To find out more, email enquiries@ valleyatwork.co.uk, visit r-awards.co.uk, or like the Facebook page.
