A SOCIAL media specialist company is celebrating a successful first year in business.
The Ribble Valley business, Moose Media Management, will celebrate its first birthday at the Love Local Expo event at Accrington and Rossendale College on Thursday, September 1.
At the event the business, led by managing director Graham Campbell, will launch a ‘back to school’ training offer that will give local businesses bespoke, one-to-one training designed to make social media work for them.
Moose will also be sharing its first birthday cake with visitors to their stand and has some special giveaways planned.
The event runs at Accrington and Rossendale College’s Sandy Lane site between 9am and 2pm.
Moose Media Management was founded by Graham Campbell, a creative thinker with a background in education and training and a genuine passion for social media.
Graham started Moose with the aim of helping organisations of all sizes to engage their audiences on social media to achieve their business goals.
Moose work with businesses across a variety of industries to help them understand the world of social media better and how they can use it to solve problems and contribute significantly to their business goals.
They empower the businesses and individuals they work with to take the plunge with social media through strategic thinking, bespoke training sessions and social media management.
The company also offers an CPD accredited training course for employee advocacy, a concept which seeks to empower employees as social media ambassadors for the companies they work for.
Mr Campbell said: “Our background working within big business gives us a strategic edge, but Moose was founded to combine strategy with creativity to help businesses reflect their uniqueness in a grey social sea of sameness.
“We always engage closely with our clients and listen to what they want before working out how social media can be used as part of a wider strategy to help them achieve their goals.”
At the start of 2016 Sarah Bennett joined Graham as Moose’s operations director, bringing her marketing, copywriting and training skills to the team.
In the spring Graham and Sarah were nominated for a Hyndburn Business Award.
At an awards ceremony in June, Moose Media Management was announced the winner in the New Business of the Year category, an accolade Graham and Sarah were over the moon to receive in their first year of business.
More recently the University of Salford has drawn on Graham’s expert social media knowledge in a series of masterclasses for its business students.
Mr Campbell added: “Aside from our Hyndburn Business Award, our greatest success has been helping a child car safety client to leverage a brand new market which we identified through our strategic discussions with them.
“As a result of our work, their services are now employed by major high street retailers.”
Graham and Sarah are about to embark on some interesting projects, including the development of a WeChat platform for clients with business interests in China and supporting a new e-commerce business.
