match was halted in the 33rd over due to rain.

Rishton were 109-3 at that stage, and the match was eventually called off.

They needed to have made 117 at the time of the stoppage, therefore Rawtenstall won the match by seven runs.

Just like Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall saw their planned match against Nelson on Saturday called off due to the weather.

Rawtenstall stay 13th in the table after the win, ten points behind Accrington and 27 points ahead of bottom side Bacup.

It was a frustrating weekend for Bacup, as both of their planned matches fell victim to the weather.

Sunday’s match against Enfield at Lanehead managed to get underway, with the game being reduced to 20 overs per side.

Enfield won the toss and decided to field, with Matt Collinge top-scoring for Bacup with a score of 21 not out.

Professional Haseeb Azam, Ben Law and Matt Thompson were the only other players who managed to reach double figures, each scoring ten runs.

The remaining five Bacup batsmen that took to the crease made 20 runs between them, with Bacup finishing on 93-8 at the end of their 20 overs.

Enfield managed to reach 63-2 after 13 overs, with Adam Bracewell unbeaten on 26 and professional Diego Rosier having made 20, but the teams were then forced to leave the pitch as the rain began.

They couldn’t return, with the match ending in a no result and each side picking up three points.

It came just 24 hours after Bacup’s planned game against Church was also called off because of the poor conditions.

Haslingden also had no matches over the weekend, with their game at East Lancashire on Saturday also falling victim to the weather.

The team didn’t have a match scheduled for Sunday, meaning they now have a game in hand on all of the teams around them.
