Third jigsaw festival set to thrill

-

ORGANISERS of the third Ramsbottom Jigsaw Festival are putting the final pieces in place for the event.

The third festival will be held in St Paul’s Church, on Bridge Street from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday, September 7, to Saturday, September 10. The popularity of the first two festivals has led to this year’s event being ●● extended from three days to four.

The Jigsaw Festival is a joint venture between two of the churches in the Ramsbottom and Edenfield Team Ministry – Edenfield Parish Church and St Paul’s. There will be over nine hundred completed jigsaw puzzles in an ever-changing display around the church, and these puzzles will also be available for visitors to buy.

One of Edenfield’s Churchwardens David Foster said: “The Jigsaw Festival has become a real community project. Over the past year many people all over the Ramsbottom, Edenfield and Bury areas, and in some cases beyond, have spent several hours putting jigsaw puzzles together for this event, and we would like to thank them for their efforts. A warm welcome is extended to visit St Paul’s Church and see the fruits of their labours”.

Refreshments will be available. Admission to the event is £2.

The organisers are also still looking for volunteers to help staff the Jigsaw Festival.
