MRS Annie Mary Berry, of Helmshore Road, Haslingden died peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, September 28, aged 93.
During the war she drove ambulances and also worked in the family business at Grane Mill.
She enjoyed socialising and spending time in Whitby.
Wife of the late Ken, she leaves sons Peter and John and granddaughter Louise.
Her funeral will take place on Friday, October 7 with a service at 11.30am at St James CE Church, Haslingden officiated by Rev Stephen Brown, followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery. Flowers welcome. Funeral director: Dawn Johnson, Fred Hamer Funeral Service.
BARRY SAGAR
MR Barry Keith Sagar, of Miles Avenue, Stacksteads, died on Monday, September 26, aged 55.
He was an ex-market trader and worked at Courtesy Shoe in Bacup for the last six years.
He enjoyed gardening, reading newspapers and doing crosswords. He was a beloved dad, grandad, brother, father-in-law and friend.
Prayers at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev Philip Norris, will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 10.30am, followed by the service at Burnley Crematorium at 11.20am.
Family flowers only with donations to Macmillan Nurses and Air Ambulance.

ANN WHITEHEAD
MRS Ann Whitehead, of Acre Avenue, Stacksteads, Bacup, died on Saturday, September 24, aged 73.
She hadn’t worked for a long time due to ill health. She enjoyed watching TV, especially quiz shows and she also loved reading.
She leaves four children, Andrew, Susan, Paul and Christine and their partners, as well as grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Her funeral service, conducted by the Rev Philip Norris, was due to be held on Thursday, October 6, at the funeral home at 2pm, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery at 2.45pm.
Flowers are welcome.

RICHARD ASHWORTH
MR Richard Ashworth, of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, passed away on Sunday, October 2, aged 68.
After taking a plumbing course at college, Tash, as he was known, worked for Harry Hargreaves as a general labourer before working privately doing weather texing.
He then worked as a leather cutter in upholstery before becoming a HGV Class 1 driver. Following this he worked in the family business – the Cottage Chip Shop – before working for many years as a bouncer.
His hobbies included shooting, music and was a member of a band, and also horses. He was a member of Clough Head Gun Club.
He leaves wife Elaine, daughter Janine, daughter Cheryl and son Lee, sons Christopher and Dean and their partners, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 1.30pm on Friday, October 7, at Woodtop Chapel, Bury Road, Rawtenstall, administered by David Ireland followed by interment at Rawtenstall Cemetery at 2.30pm.
Flowers are desired, however donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research.

MOLLIE LOWE
MRS Mollie Lowe, previously of Waterfoot, passed away peacefully at her home in Hesmond, France, on Saturday, September 17, at the age of 89.
She was a former infant teacher at St Saviour’s in Stacksteads, before moving to France after retirement with her husband John. She is survived by her two sons, Geoffrey and Trevor, and grandsons Dan, Angus and Harrison. She will be much missed by everyone who knew her.
An informal celebration of her life will be held at 12.30pm on Wednesday, October 26, at Burnley Golf Club.
Anyone who knew Mollie and would like to attend will be most welcome.
MARGARET DICKINSON
MRS Margaret Dickinson passed away on Sunday, September 25, at Blackburn Hospital, aged 80.
The daughter of Margaret Dewhurst, she was a well-known and a popular figure within her local community in Helmshore where she had many friends.
She was a housewife and carer for her late mother and she had worked at the Co-op and GEC electronics and later at Bentgate School where she was a lunchtime supervisor for the children.
She had been a tenants’ representative for her local housing association in recent years. She had a keen interest in her garden and caring for her cat Samson.
She leaves her son Christopher, her daughter-in-law Anne, son-in-law Dave and grandchildren Emily, Charlotte, Steven and Glenn.
She was married to the late Alan Dickinson and was the daughter of Margaret Dewhurst and mother to the late Jacqueline Dickinson.
Her funeral service will be held at 1.40pm on Friday, October 14, at Accrington Crematorium.

PHILIP HODGSON
MR Philip Graham Hodgson, of Rockbridge Fold, Whitewell Bottom, formerly of Atherton, died on Thursday, September 29, while on holiday in Grantham on Spey, aged 69.
He was the son of the late Phyllis and Frank Hodgson and brother of the late Ian Hodgson. He worked at Whiteside and Lord in Rawtenstall and then Woodcock and Sons in both Rawtenstall and Bacup until his retirement in 2011.
He leaves cousins and many friends and colleagues.
He was a member of Rawtenstall Rotary and volunteered at Rossendale Hospice where he was also a member of the choir. He attended Kay Street Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, drawing and fishing.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 12, with service and cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 1.40pm.

JOAN CURRAN
MISS Joan Curran, of Rising Bridge Road, Haslingden died on Tuesday, September 20 at Nicosia Hospital, Cyprus, aged 67.
She leaves her brother John, sister Mary, brother-in-law David and sister-in-law Shelagh, nieces and nephews David, John Paul, Paula, Angela, Pat, Mark, Wendy, cousin Michael, and Christine and their families. Joan was on holiday visiting her brother who lives in Cyprus.
She worked for Baxenden Chemical Co., until her retirement.
She was a member of St Mary’s RC Church, Haslingden where she was a Eucharistic Minister.
Joan enjoyed swimming at Haslingden Baths and helped fight for their survival.
She also enjoyed holidays and meals out with family and friends.
Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, October 12 with Requiem Mass at St Mary’s RC Church, Haslingden at 11am followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery officiated by Fr. John MacKie.
