Animal home is ‘nearly full’

-

MORE cats have been left at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary - even though the centre is now almost full with unwanted felines looking for good homes.

Maine Coon cat Boo, one of the largest domestic cat breeds available, is currently awaiting an operation on her foot, which Bleakholt will fund, as she is on the hunt for a new home.

Vi cky Wardle, who is head of cats at the Edenfield sanctuary, said: “It is unusual to get a Maine Coon cat as they can cost around £300.

“Boo is around four months old and we have every confidence we will be able to rehome her once she has had her operation.”

As well as Boo, two black cats were left in a cat basket on the lane running up to the Edenfield sanctuary on the night of October 1.

The pair have been named Buffy and Chucky, in keeping with the approaching Hallowe’en festivities.

The female and male cats will be available for rehoming soon.

For more information about how to adopt from the sanctuary visit www. bleakholt.org.uk for details.
