Firm is honoured with second Queen’s Award win for trade
A COMPANY which provides line-marking paint products and machines to stadiums has won a Queen’s Award for International Trade.
The award for Linemark, in Rawtenstall, is for outstanding growth in overseas sales.
It is the second time the firm, based at Holme Bank, has scooped a Queen’s Award, after winning the Innovation category in 2011.
To celebrate the achievement, staff from Linemark, HD Signology and N-Virol were given the day off work to attend the presentation of the award by the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, Lord Shuttleworth, at St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall.
Director Tony Holt said the accolade was ‘a huge honour’. He added: “The Queen’s Award is probably the most prestigious honour a business can receive and to pick up a second is an outstanding achievement.”
Speaking at the award ceremony Lord Shuttleworth said Linemark was one of only 25 winners in the northwest in the International Trade section.
The group exports to 34 countries and overseas sales of Linemark and group companies, HD Signology and N-Virol, have grown by more than 80 per cent over the last three years.
