MRS Freda Holt, of Booth Road, Waterfoot, passed away on Thursday, November 3, aged 87.

She had worked as a shoe and slipper operative at Lambert and Howarths.

Her hobbies and interests included dancing and holidays and she loved spending time with her grandchild­ren.

She leaves children Paul Holt and Dale Nolan, grandchild­ren Alexander Nolan, Leanne Gibbon, Ashley Holt and Dominic Nolan, together with great-grandchild­ren Jack Holt, Sonny Gibbon and Reggie Holt.

Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, November 16, with a service at the funeral home officiated by funeral celebrant David Ireland at 10.30am followed by cremation at Burnley Crematoriu­m at 11.20am.

Donations, if desired, requested for Rossendale Hospice.

DOROTHY BURRIDGE

MRS Dorothy Burridge, born in 1934, has passed away aged 82.

She was retired from Maden Ireland Shoe Factory at Olive Mill.

She was a member of the Forester’s and had a passion for dancing. ‘Always in our heart’ ‘Never far from our thoughts, forever, our family’.

She leaves partner Maurice, daughter Jacqueline, son-in-law Colin, grandchild­ren Kelly and Antony, sister Doreen, brother David and sister-in-law Myra, together with nieces and nephews.

The family have requested coloured clothes with no black or white attire at the funeral, which is to be held at 10.40am on Friday, November 11, at Burnley Crematoriu­m, to be officiated by Rev David Brae.

Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired, requested to Alzheimer’s Society.
