Burglar smashed his way into salon
SHOCKING footage of a burglar smashing his way into a Bacup beauty salon has been caught on security cameras.
A crook was caught on CCTV positioned inside Red Hair and Beauty Salon on Market Street using a rock to smash his way through the large glass window to get inside.
The incident, which happened at around 3.45am on Thursday, November 3, caused £150 worth of damage.
It is the second salon to be targeted on the street after an attempted burglary also took place at the Imogen Alexia hair salon sometime between October 29 and November 3.
Again a window was smashed and police believe the incidents could be linked.
It is not known if anything was taken from either premises.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 3.45am on Thursday, November 3 to reports of burglaries.
“Two burglary offences were commit- ted on business premises on Market Street, Bacup.
An unknown offender approached the Red Hair and Beauty Salon and used a large rock to gain entry through a window, causing about £150 of damage.
“Both properties suffered from smashed windows. We believe the same offenders may be responsible and are linking the incidents.”
